e-MSion is excited to offer a revolutionary advancement in protein mass spectrometry: the ExD cell, a compact add-on device that enables ECD fragmentation in benchtop mass spectrometers for the first time. Our mission is to advance protein research by making powerful electron-based fragmentation technically feasible in low- and mid-price-range instruments. Our cornerstone product that achieves this goal, the ExD cell, is the culmination of over a decade of collaborative research and engineering.

e-MSion has successfully adapted the ExD cell design to be compatible with more than ten distinct mass spectrometer models, including popular models like Orbitraps QEs and Agilent Q-TOFs.

We currently offer commercial ExD Options for the whole Agilent Q-TOF family. ExD offerings for other instruments, including Orbitrap QEs and Waters Q-TOFs, are currently in the Early Adopter phase.
